There are a couple of vanilla slice recipes on the forum Uni, one using sao biscuits, the other using lattice biscuits.  What is the difference between a Greek custard and a 'normal' custard?

JD the Greek custard is thicker and has more of an vanilla flavor and it sets really fast. sold most of it last night the feed back was very good
DH gave me his 2 cents worth this moring  ;D

he would like me to add honey on the top layer then some almonds  :-)) it does sound nice he way , but i did not tell that  :-))
i don't need a recipe i'm italian

achookwoman, the second batch I added some worcestchire sauce to give it a BBQ sauce taste.

For some reason my replies aren't posting and I have to go and do them again  >:(

Uni,  I think the Greek custard has semolina as the thickening agent.  See my Apricot Custard Rolls,  another Dan Lepard recipe.

Oh to have time for a lovely morning tea like that Julie.  Mine is just a cup of coffee being carried from place to place if indeed I bother to even make one and half the time it goes cold anyway. :-))

Judy I always make time to have a cappo or latte mid morning each day.  It's something I really look forward to.  ;D

Juices this morning for breakfast and a mango coulis and raspberry coulis for two cheesecakes that I made. One for work and one for home. Will post pictures once they are set.

O always make time for a coffee break at 'recess'. We usually have one about 3 as well.

This shows a couple of the foods I've made lately.

On the left is the fruit and nut cake ( I leave out the cherries as DD doesn't like them), middle is panforte and on the right this years Christmas cake. I don't ice it.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

DD made faffa's Chocolate & Beetroot Brownies and made up the santa hats to take into work tomorrow. (We'll make those for Chrissy Day also) I haven't tried one, but DH did and raved about it. I had a tiny cutter that I bought years ago to make little shortbreads to pop next to coffee cups and were perfect sized for the strawberry to place on top.

I made Ginger Steamed Fish & Bok Choy, and Mojita Cheesecakes for dessert from In the Mix. The cheesecakes were delicous, rich and very decadent.
