Hugs dede.....so sad  :'(
We lost our maisey girl last Monday....she was the best sheep  dog we've had....poor girl was deaf as a post, not many teeth left....but she was gorgeous!   Unfortunately hubby is nearly as deaf as she was, and he himself run over her, and didn't hear my son yelling at him to stop  :'(
Worst part was we had to put her to sleep on the morning of my Uncles funeral  :'(......too much for one day I tell you.....but we got through.

Oh Maddy how awful for everyone - must have been very traumatic for your son to see it happen.  Hope everyone is OK.
And to have to go to a funeral afterwards - can't imagine how you coped.

Big hugs  :-* :-*

Thank you Katya....what made it harder was my Uncle had an adored  border collie like ours, and of course her pictures were shown with my Uncle in the slide show,  :'(....we both fell to pieces......but you have to remember the good times right  ;)

Naww  Thats so sad for both of you.  Our furry family are so important in our lives.
We have our two rescued dogs and can't imagine the house without them now.

On the food side..
I made a lentil bake that received a wholehearted thumbs up from my DH..
I tweaked dashingden's lentil pie filling and mixed it with steamed buttered potato and baked.

That looks really good RosieB. I'll have to give that a go.

Tonight I made the Speck and Salad Pizza from Dinner Spinner.  I had some left over dough in the freezer that I defrosted. Still haven't actually made it with speck. Last time I used diced bacon from Coles deli counter and this time I couldn't get speck again so I used oven roasted prosciutto.  It worked very well.

Dede and Maddy I am so sad for you both - I tear up at the thought of losing our lab who will be 12 this year and still seems to have as many years in her at present!!! Hugs to both your families xx

The pavs look great fundj.

Just brought a 12.5 kg bag of bread flour to keep us going for a little while. We seem to be going through quiet a bit lately. I mainly just make rolls as these seem easier for everyone just to grab one rather than to slice some bread. I think I need to start making a variety of different rolls though just for a change.

Love the pavs Fundj. I made some last week that were lemon flavoured and were served with blueberries and a blueberry sauce, really lovely  :)

Dede and Maddy,  sorry about your loss.  Maddy, don't worry about the recipe,  too much on your mind.
Picked 12 cumquats today ,  ( very special in our cold climate),  making marmalade.
Tonight cooking Tenina's Lamb Pesto Crustose with Gusto,  from FFS.  Picked moreBlackberries, will makeBB flavoured vin.

Hally I think I will start experimenting with a few different rolls to see what the family like just for variety. Cheese and bacon rolls are a favorite along with fruit buns which never last long. Might try some grain rolls and whole meal next.

Today I've made a Plum Upside Down cake from Amanda's blog, Raspberry & Red Wine Coulis from QFITT and Chookies Hot Cross Buns without the cross and the glazing.  Chookie I need you to come over here and help me with these buns.  I lowered the temp to 200oC today and cooked for 20 minutes - they are still far too dark.  Taste great though.
