Uni, the gnocchi was fab, only  had it 3 times, 1st thought it was absolutely disgusting, 2nd time in a hatted restaurant, yes I do like it & tonight, wow going to make this more often. In the fridge was fine for a day but woud freeze it if I was cooking it another day. I cooked a few this morning after making it & yes just as good as being in the fridge, buy hey I am not italian, LOL

Served it with napolitan sauce, a layer of spinach, gnocchi,  sauce then some cheese drizzled over, under the grill, YUM YUM YUM.

Now have left over cooked gnocchi, which I will just do as I aways do, the freezer, LOL

Used the last of my white bread flour to make 6 sweet sourdough buns, flavored with preserved ginger and dried cherries. They don't look so good but taste OK.  Also made an interesting potato baked dish.  Varoma small pots, (from the garden),  cut into thick slices, layered in oven proof dish with bacon and onion, (cooked together), cover with cheese and a little cream.  Bake in oven.

I freeze uncooked gnocchi (spread out on a tray so they don't clump together) and then cook them from frozen. They do defrost pretty quickly but seem fine straight from the freezer to a pot of boiling water. Soooo much nicer than the shop bought ones.

Got 12 homemade shortbread biccies in oven right  ow for visitors tomorrow. Made in kenwood as  *: is in dishwasher after making
double quantity chocolate delight by achookwoman.
Cooked 2 pieces roast beef to have cold tomorrow.

We had roast chicken for lunch and sandwiches for tea. Did loads of gardening, and sadly can't watch Jubilee concert as got no TV signal. Not the weekend to break down! just our luck. Going out to a Jubilee beacon at 10pm.
Got radio on but not same. >:(

I made some chocolate and banana French toasties from the June Australian Good Food magazine, because I thought DS would love them. He very rarely gets chocolate and breakfast is virtually always weet bix, corn flakes or toast so I thought it would be a nice change. Nope. Didn't want it. *sigh* oh well, I liked it... Lol

Today I'm hoping to make a casserole in the pressure cooker to have for dinner. DS has his hospital appointment tonight at 5.30pm, and I want to make it as easy as possible to avoid buying takeaway so I'm making this ahead of time, if the diced meat thaws in time... I'm also going to make some chocolate banana cupcakes that I've wanted to make for a while to take to work tomorrow.

You have all been cooking up a treat. I've rarely used my TMx in the last 3 weeks. DH has taken over dinner and he wants to use the induction hotplate all the time. I shouldn't complain as it is lovely having dinner cooked for me BUT I want to use termite. I haven't been brave enough to even look at the recipe reviews as I have serious withdrawal problems. :'(
At least I can cope with them. :D :D :D I read more. :D :D
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I was dumbfounded. It's partly my fault. When I was introducing him to foods, we were living somewhere where I had very little access to the kitchen, so I wasn't able to introduce him to the foods that I would have liked. I'm doing my best to get him to eat healthy nutritious meals now that I have more control over it, but he's already quite stubborn. He eats a lot of fruits, I just struggle with the vegetables. He's nearly 3 now, and he loves watching me cook things so I'm hoping with the arrival of the thermomix I can get him more involved in cooking meals and he'll want to eat more. I can't at the moment because he's spot on the bench to watch me cook is the stove top, so he can only sit there when I'm baking.
