Brummington the bread looks really great. Don't you hate that when something turns out really well and you don't know how to recreate it.

stuff from the freezer i only  know its not a meat pie  ;D i  have made this pastry twice this week and it easy to work and roll i am hopeless at rolling any type of pastry

not sure how or where i got it from, maybe you know JD

Pastry:
160g Plain Flour
75g chilled unsalted butter
pinch of salt
4 tablespoons sparkling mineral water

  Add flour, butter, salt to TM bowl and whiz 3 Seconds, Speed 7. Add water and Knead, 1 min. Shape into a rectangular blob and wrap in cling wrap and chill in fridge for 1 hour.

In quantity of fat to flour it's like the recipe from the heart cookery book i read once in that it is less than half fat to flour.

Never heard of sparkling water in pastry or lemonade in scones before I came on here. I love learning all these new things.

I said to DH once that we'll know we're getting too old when we stop learning new things.

Tuna fish pie and sweetcorn tonight with DS. Cheap and DH is away and won't eat tuna. Expect he'll grumble too, but when living at home for free while he writes his MSc disseration he'll have to just get on with it. LOL

i used plain clod water  and salted buttertoday , no difference from the other one i made a few days ago

Do you think I could use soda water as I don't have any mineral water and don't want to go to the shops again and blow my $100 budget?

JD you are a genius! I will go and wrap the cord around the feet before cooking anything from now on!     ;)
The pie looks great uni. Pastry is something I've not tried yet in the TMX. your recipe loos simple enoug and the finished product looks great in the picture.
