Cooked today - pureed apples and porridge for girls breakfast - and tomorrow's too, just warm in the morning.
playdoh - does this count as cooking???? :-\
then while the girls are playing with playdoh, I will make bread and cheese and bacon buns, maybe then scrolls if I still have the energy.....!  :)
:D

No Uni, its plastic, but a mould.

I thought I could do a savory bread, like dough, filling dough, then rise, then tip it out and bake maybe.

My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

I have been doing alot of savory breads lately with olives, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, olive oil, and working out well.
May be 1 rise in the mould, then tip out, rise again then bake,....

I made some panini rolls tonight to have with some soup my dad bought me to have for lunch at work tomorrow.
http://www.cherrapeno.com/2008/10/panini-rolls-for-world-bread-day.html

I made these today using the TMX and not a breadmaker as used in the recipe link. Everything into the TM bowl with the addition of 2 tsp bread improver, kneaded 4 mins and allowed the dough to rise in the bowl until it pushed the MC up.  Formed into 10 sausage shaped rolls, 5 per tray.  Left to rise until doubled and baked 180oC for 15 minutes.  If they taste as good as they look I will be very happy, will try one for lunch.

Yes Uni, it is a soft roll but not too soft if you know what I mean.  I daresay you can cook them longer to crisp the top more but they were wonderful - I made some mayo, boiled some eggs and filled them with egg, lettuce & mayo.  I'm very happy with them and will be using them as normal rolls not squashing them in a sandwich maker which the recipe was obviously intended for. Tomorrow I'll BBQ some chicken sausages, make some caramelised onion and fill the rolls with that.

Mmm, panini rolls look great.

Today I made Bible bread. I couldn't help myself and had to have the end slice 5 mins after taking it out.....so delicious and crusty. Will post photos later.

Also attempted converting Donna Hay's recipe for Pad Thai to TMX and although not quite successful, having to finish it on the pan. It tasted so much more flavoursome!

Hi all,
Thought I'd join this thread........used to contribute on the Best Recipes forum - always fun!!!!!!
Today I've made my usual spelt/white bakers flour bread rolls - to have with Quirkys' delicious chicken and brown rice soup  :)
Orange cake EDC - hoping this will be nice - in the oven right now - great way to use up the oranges that seem to be accumulating in the fruit bowl.
I'm going to try some wonton's in the varoma  tonight (along with steamed veg and garlic rice). Hope they turn out alright!!!!!
