Thanks Amy and CP. Will use Amy's method tomorrow but buy the tool if the fathers day present is a hit. I have dried cherries soaking in rum at the moment. I could just eat these straight!

That sounds good Courton. I used cherry brandy. Not as potent as rum but you get a real cherry taste hit.

Today I made johnro's cookies & cream fudge & Amy's triple choc brownies for father's day. cutting it fine, just finished packaging them up & the fella will be due here any minute! I've got dede's choc chip cookies in the oven to hide the smell of the brownies, very sneaky! Lucky I had some cookie dough in the freezer.

Guests with young kids for lunch - so we had Cyndi's vegetarian sausage rolls, Amy's zucchini mini quiches, TMX tomato sauce and TMX sweet chilli sauce, couple of salads, 4-bean mix hummus, EDC garlic and herb dip.  Very easy and casual but yummy lunch.

Best thing was that our guests brought a divine chocolate cake with them too!  (Magic Bean Cake from this forum)  ;D ;D

I had to leave early to go into work - all I can say is there better be leftovers of that cake when I get home, or else there will be trouble  ;)
