Today I made pita bread for the first time. Puffed up well, so waiting to cool to open pocket. Very excited that they worked. The recipe I made made 8, great for kids lunches.

I made speck and salad pizza from Dinner Spinner. Used Kezza's mustard from forumfest, it was very good.

Butter chicken with tikka paste from here, love that recipe!  I use 500 g chicken but add three cubed potatoes half way through cook time, I love the taste of potatoes as part of the curry. also made a almond batter tart modified from the recipe on The British Larder and the banana date and walnut loaf from EDC.  Still managing to useTMX even though majority of family in England!

Thank you Rara, I was very pleased as my first attempt & I got such a great pocket. Went well with the shredded pork & salad.

Isn't it funny maddy how we (you in particular) are brilliant at one thing and not so good at another  ;)  You would think baking was baking and just look at your wonderful cupcakes.

Bigger cooking weekend than expected. Made parmesan grissini sticks for the freezer for DS lunches, MJ's lemon butter and chocolate orange biscuits for my Dad, ILB chocolate cake as cupcakes and a loaf of bread using Hally's instructions but using whey from yoghurt as most of the liquid and cooking in my cast iron pot.
