Thanks so much ladies :D

The crumble was supposed to be a bit more.... crumbly :-)) The mixture turned out very cake-like and I ended up spreading it across the top of the apple with my fingers :-\
I asked mum about the cake again last night (because I'm always keen for feedback on my cooking ;)) and she said the only thing she would change would be the base. She said it was a bit dense. So next time I bake this I will make a few changes to that :) And get the crumble right of course!

Thin & Crispy Pizza Bases par baked ready for toppings for lunch and Hally's High Bread is doing it's first prove.
Pizza Maker not here yet, but I can't wait for pizza!

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

After the disasterous cooking day I had yesterday, I wanted to stick to tried and tested.
Still needed a few nibbles for before lunch.
Went to CP's favourites and made Hally's cheese and bacon puffs - turned out really well and everyone devoured them. It makes quite a few too.
Also made mini spiced pumpkin and pine nut pasteries. The few that didn't get eaten my DS is taking home with him.

I made pies too Chookie!

I made them from the leftovers from taco night - chilli lime chicken strips and traditional beef mince filling.

They are now lunch for the girls at work tomorrow.
