As are everyone's Amy but I know my little GS and GD are going to love these when I make some for them as Wonder has said.  They will think their Grandma is so clever before I let the secret out of the bag.  Thanks again Cookie.

If my nana had made me heart shaped eggs when I was young I would  have thought she was a fairy ;D

Just felt like some salads for lunch today so firstly boiled some eggs and steamed some potatoes for a potato/spring onion salad.  Next was a batch of mayonnaise followed by coleslaw without washing the bowl.   The shaped eggs are courtesy of Cookie who bought me a lovely gift of these 2 egg shaping molds - need to perfect the star one a bit but the heart shaped one was easy.

Which coleslaw recipe do you use, I need to make some today :)

I have a car & a fish.

Do you cook the egg, put it in the mold then in cold water for a few mins?

Hally, I base my coleslaw on the EDC recipe but I do my own thing. The first edition of the EDC had ridiculous chopping times (5-8 sec on speed 4  :o) but I notice in the later EDC which I bought off Obbie that they now say 2-3 sec/speed 4 which is more like it.

100g carrot, roughly chopped then chopped for about a second on speed 5 before adding, 70 - 100g thickly sliced cucumber, 1/4 red onion, 40-50 pineapple (used pieces from a can today but normally in summer I would have some fresh pieces frozen), a handful parsley leaves, 200g sliced cabbage and 2 tblspoons mayonnaise, S & P.  Chop 3 sec/speed 4 using spatula.  If there are any bigger pieces still in the bowl, chop by hand.

I thought you had to put the egg in the mold whilst it was still very hot so I did the first 2 like that but the others (which I had been cooling down in cold water) still worked quite OK when I tried them later. I didn't think to drop the mold into cold water when I did the hot ones - they don't take long to take on the shape and cool down anyway.

Your biscuits look great Hally and I'm sure your physio will appreciate the lovely loaf of bread.

It was my sons second birthday last weekend so I made the Bimby chocolate cake (yummy) as Iggle Piggle.
