I made the basic TM bread, [  well I did add some oat bran]   After 1st. rise flattened it out and spread a mix of grated cheese, garlic and a little olive oil over the dough.    This mixture was made in the TM.  drop the clove(s) of garlic on to the moving blades.   allow to rise to double.   Cook in cool start oven at 400.        Very good next morning with eggs!

Last night I roasted a pork loin in the Weber.  I made apple sauce with the thermomix, which was nice, but I used some new apples which were probably the wrong ones.  I have been trying to get pork crackling right for months, heading up to Christmas.  All no good, except for last night.  I made sure the pork skin was dry, rubbed it with olive oil and sea salt.  I put a meat thermometer in and set to 70 C.  Perfect - all the fat melted entirely away (onto the veges in a dish underneath) and the crackling was - crackling!

I've made Tenina's yummy bread rolls from her site and will make some buttermilk scones for visitors a little later.

Over the weekend I played...so nice to do;
Almond, Pine Nut and Lemon Cake (coming soon to a blog near you)
A moist honey cake with almonds (which is for Graces birthday today...well the birthday was Saturday, but we celebrate today at the office)
Potato Brie and Caramelised Onion Tart...which I am still tweaking and will become Sweet Potato, Brie...etc Tart
Yorkshire puddings to go with an awesome roast beef which clearly was NOT done in the TM, recipe to appear in the long awaited meat book
Iced Lemon Cream with Raspberry Sauce
Dips (a weekend staple)
that might be it...too early to really remember!  :o

Went to a Thermomix hands-on cooking class with 3 Melbourne consultants and a chef/cooking school instructor yesterday.

Good fun and the first of hopefully many.  Bit disorganised but we got there in the end.  The recipes need some tweaking for TM use - but it was excellent.

Don't have the recipes at hand to let you know what we made - MrsT and I did ravioli filled with fish, parsley, lemon zest and chilli, served with a tomato oil dressing.

Went home and made the smoothest chicken liver pate, loaf of sour dough bread and some coconut biscuits.  Some other bits too but nothing special.

Crash, Bang! was that Thermomixer falling off his chair.  Good thing Mrs T doesn't read this forum, might give her some ideas. :D :D  Poor Thermomixer, we do take the mickey out of him but I'm sure he loves it.

After seeing others struggling with their TMX in class yesterday, I think she decided maybe she should try.  Also, she has a friend who she has told how wonderful it is and she is getting one - so if she asks any questions then MrsT will need to be able to answer.  ;) ;)

Sounds like Mrs T may be coming soon to a Forum near you  ;D :D

Last night I adapted a recipe for Anglesey Eggs to the TMX.  I took the flavourings largely as they stood in the original recipe, but didn't find it quite tasty enough for me, so I'll adapt it next time.  The 3 of us all definitely voted that there WOULD be a next time.  Once I've finished tweaking it I'll post it on the board.  It was a very comforting and filling meal.  I also made yogurt and set some yogurt cheese to drain overnight.

Today I made bread using whey which drained from the cheese, and finished off making the cheese.  We now have cheese balls in the fridge marinading in jars of olive oil with various spices in.

For lunch I had a roll of the bread I'd made with some of the cheese I'd made, plus avocado dip I made a few days ago.  Nice, tasty and simple.  And felt like a virtuous Housewife  ;) :D
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!
