Made 2 GF/DF chocolate cakes and served one with a chocolate almond "cream". For dinner I made broccoli and almond soup :) Reviewed both recipes in the "special diet" section.y family as of today is trialling a GF/DF diet due to my husband's many intolerances, so will be doing a lot of recipe testing in the coming weeks  :D

I've just made a batch of the ice-cream in this months UK TMX newsletter - a Spanish recipe called Helado de Leche Merengada which translates to Sweet Milk Ice-Cream.  It's just milk, cinnamon stick, lemon rind, sugar heated and left to infuse for 24 hours then a sweet meringue mixture folded through it.  It looks and tastes like sorbet to me at this early stage after churning but will check it out again tomorrow and see what I think.  I am just wondering how hard it is going to set in the freezer overnight.

I'm sitting in bed with a bowl of it right now CP.  It's only been in the freezer for a few hours and the texture is just how I would like it to stay but I know it will be much harder in the morning.  Love the taste though.

Dumb question how do you get the UK newsletter? I've looked on the site and can't see any where to sign up.
