Cookie, that looks wonderful!!

I've made another sourdough loaf . . . only managed to get it together just after lunch. It's fairly cool here today but lovely in the sun - so that's where it went.  Sun went down and the dough had only risen just a little but the pan was still nice and warm.  Brought it inside and wrapped it up in a doona  ;D. . have checked it from time to time and it's rising well!  Hope to have it in the oven tonight.

In the oven ATM is some barramundi and vegetables . . . . :)

I have to make a confession here Hally. This is a Laucke bread mix. I forgot I had it in the pantry. It is really lovely but they are not easy to buy. I'm going to try my own next time. I will have to find a recipe.

I cooked beef pot roast in a red wine and porcini sauce with Parmesan polenta. We had it for dinner. Made one for DD's family too as well as Thai fish cakes, Thai green chicken curry,   4 chicken and mushroom family size pies,  One for each  of my  2 DD's , one for DS 2 and one for myself. My other DS and his wife won't eat mushrooms. It was great cooking again as haven't had time in the last 5-6 months. Very therapeutic and rewarding.

Not better Judy just different but I now have 4 ovens which is really good when cooking for my large family.. This house is more classic in style whereas the other one was very contemporary. Love them both but this one more suited to our family life which is very important to us.

It sounds lovely MF, 4 ovens LOL.  You could open a restaurant there, it probably feels like one when all the family have come for a meal.

Sounds fantastic MF and you are obviously enjoying your new kitchen.  I think your kids are enjoying your new kitchen too! Lucky them to have a clever mum.
Gosh Hally you are going to be busy, are you restocking the freezer or entertaining?
Looks lovely Cookie, i have never tried borsch ( will add it to my ever growing list).
