Had a family afternoon tea at our house today, so I made ham and cheese pastries, sausage rolls from the freezer and party pies. Also apple pie with vanilla icecream, jam drop biscuits, lemon and blueberry friands, and lime curd tarts

Lovely cakes ES.

I would also be interested in what pastry you used for your tarts. :)

I threw the last of my sour cream pastry out. >:(  Even after being in the fridge over night it didn't improve.  Do you think it could be because I used light sour cream?

Oh Mab,  what a waste.  Could you have added more flour?

ES the food looks so lovely. I am sure everyone was so appreciative. Are all the family gatherings at your place for the lovely food?

The same thing has happened to me with this pastry but it still works if you spread it or just pat it into the dish.

BTW MAB  life is too short for light sour cream!  ;D ;D
