That would be an interesting flavour Chookie. Was the skin still on the almonds?

Yes, skin on. At the Creswick market , a stall sells nuts coated in many different things. They charge $12 for 200 g. Very expensive. Like the nut pastes, I bought some and then make my own version. They are very generous with their samples but to match the flavour I need to keep sampling at home.

Today I have been testing recipes for the SD cooking class I am having on Saturday. It is non TMX so need to convert recipes back.  These are SD pancakes. On Saturday they will be filled with either curry mince or Ratatouille. Cheese sauce on top and grilled in oven.

Good quality control is very important. The pancakes look nice too.

Thanks CC, certainly will. People ask why I do it. It is a small way that Ral and I can give back to the community.
I made SD English Muffins without TMX. Made them too thick. I cut out the middles and made small pizzas for the workers lunch.  They loved them.

What a lateral thinker you are Chookie.

Last night I thought we were out of bread so I gave Alyce's Lazy Breakfast Loaf. http://www.alycealexandra.com/thermomix/2017/8/28/lazy-breakfast-loaf-from-everyday-thermo-cooking
It looks good, but I will cut it at lunch time. You prepare it with minimal effort and put it directly into the loaf tin and leave it over night. I used a little spelt flour and some oatbran into mine. I will post photos after we have cut it.

Cookie, enjoy your mini holiday.  Love that area of WA.
I had to smile when I read AA lovely recipe. 8 years ago AA and her mum and several other consultants came to Cherokee for a bread making class. She has certainly moved on. Good on her , she is such a nice person.

A belated photo of Alyce's breakfast loaf. I liked the flavour of it and it would be useful if you needed bread first thing in the morning.

Lovely loaf Cookie.  8)
I've made Thermomix Baking Blogger's Varoma Cheesecake.Substituted Quark for the creamcheese  and mascarpone. I won't put the meringue on top either. I used blueberries to decorate. Will chill it overnight to eat tomorrow. There was enough filling to fill the Varoma tray and two dariole moulds.Cooked the two moulds in the Varoma.

Thinking I need to make a cake today .Hoping to make Asparagus, Parmesan flan out of the new TMix mag . Love this mag it just covers good cooking . It has an article about The French Kitchen, went to many classes there . Di Holuigue has a cookbook that is like Stephanie Alexandra's , large thick bible .
