I haven't come across Anna Jones before and I do like vegetarian meals.
The soup is nice although the recipe said it wasn't necessary to soak the soup mix overnight. After 12 hoursin the slow cooker they are still
a bit firm but edible.

A friend brought us over 3 butternuts yesterday. He gave us some a while ago and they were lovely.
These are the rolls I made yesterday for last night’s dinner. The No Fuss recipe of course.

Cookie, you are such a good bread cook.  Those rolls look better than any I make.
K ATIE, I’ve never had a nasty Butternut pumpkin.  I always have a couple ready to go.  I usually roast a whole one with olive oil , rosemary, salt and pepper , and then use it in soup or with other dishes.
Michele, I saw in another thread that the soup mix didn’t cook.  I used it in the pea and ham soup. I cook it on high for 4 hours and then on moderate for 4 hours. Then let it stand over night.  No problem.

Gee Chookie, you don't mess about!  ;D  Your loaf looks lovely, I hope you both like it.  My DH does, he's been taking a slice to work to have with his dinner (on nightshift).

Nice rolls too Cookie  :D

Thanks Chookie, will try that next time. Your bread looks amazing. Will be interested to see how the avocados defrost.
Those bread rolls look so professional Cookie.

Julie, thanks for the recipe for the Nut and Seed bread.  Your instructions are always so precise and easy to follow.
Avos are very cheap at the moment so will be doing a lot.  Very easy.  I have 2 vacuum sealers.  The one I used for the Avos is good for small amounts and the bags are reusable.
Chicken soup in SC today.  Rice patties from leftover risotto.

After reading your post yesterday Chookie I remembered I’d put 2 ripe avocados in the fridge to slow down the ripening process.  They are now In individual small ziplock bags with the air sucked out so I’ll let you know how they go for others without a sealing machine. Even if they’re only good for smoothies it will be worth the effort, I tend to throw out a high percentage of avos because they go from not ripe to over-ripe and brown behind my back.

Yesterday made a batch of 3 ingredient "bread" cooked in the pie maker.
It has more of a damper testure. I want to make a recipe Chookie posted of Grandma's Bread and compare them.
