Busy day with visitors today.  My contribution is all the vegetarian cooking: macaroni salad; Japanese potato salad; ancient grains salad; lentil 'meat' loaf and summer berry pudding.  I suspect we will be eating left overs for quite a few days!

Marina, that is quite some spread.
Baking another batch of 3 bread sticks. The No Fuss recipe makes 3 generous ones. For single person households these are very useful.

I’ve used some of the pistachio cream on top of the choc chip biscuits and I plan to use more of it to put melting moments together.
I also made a Classic loaf and a rye SD and a birthday cake for DD tomorrow.

Yesterday I made a Chicken Galette and this morning a tea cake.

I used puff pastry instead of short pastry for the mini quiches. . Not 100% successful. The cases weren’t crisp enough for my liking. Will make again and par cook the shells first. Nevertheless, the quiches all disappeared quickly at NYE party.

No cooking here.
Chookie I’ve found that anything home made tends to disappear fairly quickly.

.    So true.
Made some fruit paste to eat with cheese. Apricot, fig and cranberry juice. I use the juice instead of water. I add Cognac to some  and leave some plain.
Everyone is commenting on the flavour of my jams.  I think the secret is that instead of adding water, I add fruit juice and use a minimum of sugar.

You are definitely the jam Queen Chookie.
No cooking here. I seem to be having a short nap every afternoon. The heat is wearing me out.

Cookie, I don’t know how you cope with the persistent heat. Very little cooking here while it is hot.

I think that’s why I end up having a nap every afternoon. My recliner is right under an air con vent. I set the timer on my watch for 30-45 minutes, put the recliner back and sleep. Most times the budgie flies onto my shoulder and snoozes too. 😀

I love that Cookie.
It was too hot to light oven and too hot to go out , so I baked a lovely loaf of potato bread in the bread machine , on quick cycle.
