Some icing recipes Hally

Creamy Vanilla Frosting - the current favourite.

Vienna Cream (butter icing)
Butterfly in, add 125g butter at room temperature, 3/4 cup sifted icing sugar & 2 tablespoons milk. Mix at speed 4 until mixture is smooth and easy to spread with a spatula, scraping down sides halfway through.  For chocolate icing, add 2 tablespoons sifted cocoa to the icing sugar.

Cream cheese frosting - 250g cream cheese (not the light one), 3 tblspns butter, 1 cup icing sugar and 1 tspn vanilla essence
or juice of 1 lemon.  Mix on speed 8 until spreadable.  You can freeze the leftovers.

Plus 2 more toppings on this recipe

Dede, don't -LOL  I can just see me having a go to get the perfect cake........

Thanks Judy, superstar status yet again.

Well the lemon cupcakes that I made yesterday have nearly all gone, so I am going to make ILB chocolate cake but cup cakes, so will ice them and it will be hands off.

Today I have made quiche from EDC, bacon and egg muffins from the lunchbox booklet.

Plus JD's cauliflower pasta with slight alterations.

It's early pick up day today, so better start cleaning up and it's tennis also.

have made Tenina's Yellow Curry Paste, and am in the process of making Tenina's Curried Butternut Soup with Raw Cauliflower Creme. Wowzers its got a bite to it  ;D and then going to make her Cheats Sourdough to go with it. (Sorry we can't give these  recipes out ATM because they are from her Advanced class she is currently doing). If anyone from WA wants to know where to get fresh yeast from I eventually found it at the Re Store.

The lemon chicken pancakes is from Meat on the Menu so I've posted in the review thread.

Tony Ale also stocks fresh yeast.

Hally, I have been looking into some cake/cupcake courses in Perth. I would be interested in where you are going and how you find it.

Today after picking my son up from school I made choc chip cookies (adapted my fav recipe!), then the easy white bread rolls (a bit doughy, but pretty good for my first time ever making bread), followed by cheese and bacon rolls....OMG they are yummy!!!!! Even a novice like me got them right, they look and taste like bakery ones, my boy is VERY impressed with his Mummy  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I made CADA from the Vegetarian Book / Cyndi O'Meara for the first time and it was delicious.  I had never thought to give this a go until now (I thought it looked a bit boring) and am totally bowled over by it. So simple and quick.  I had it with yoghurt and organic blueberries scattered on top.

Red Kell,  if the rolls were a bit doughy you may not have left them to rise enough or put them into a hot oven.

I like this as well Cuilidh and make it often for my breakfast. My DH just can't understand my "unique taste" in foods and just mumbles under his breath saying I eat the most weird foods :D :D Have you tried Jo's Raw Fruit Cereal, another favorite of mine ;)
