I have edc best coconut butter cake in the oven. Also making chookies Indian patties, have the yellow split peas soaking now, they need to soak for 6 hours, also making foccacia fromedc
I now make bread every 2 nd day, not bad considering when i started i thought was it worth the effort.
Taking the Indian patties out to friends, ds going to a Party and we have been invited for drinks and nibbles afterwards.so we are going to an "after party" lol

I am in the middle of having a work shop built just for me and my home Picture Framing Business and have a builder, Electrician and roofer here at the moment, so I made an Egg and bacon pie, Cheese and bacon rolls and some Pizza scrolls for their lunch and they had chocolate mint slice for morning tea and I have made a lemon cake for afternoon tea. Got to keep the workers happy. (Maybe they will be nice to me when they hand over the bill)

Dede, you might not get a discount but you will get a really good job. I always feed our workers and they do a good job, even consult about little things and don't mind coming back the next day.

I think they all walked away happy and the new work shop is looking great. I now have a roof. Next for the windows and doors before being plastered and bricked. I am so looking forward to having my own space.
Back on the subject I did Also make some cheese cake jelly slices as well but not for the workers this time. And I did all this while feeling pretty yucky with the flu. My house is a mess but at least everyone has a full tummy.

Well Dede, I am having a gardener in tomorrow to cut down a tree and do a bit of clearing. I have therefore made your chocolate chip cookies to go with his cuppa. Very nice too though a little sweet for my taste so I will reduce the sugar next time around.

That's the best part about making our own biscuits slices and cakes ( and everything else) we can reduce or add ingredients to suit our own tastes. I change ingredients
quiet often when I know I can without much effect on the finished product.

Hope you are feeling better soon Mandi. Rest up for the rest of the weekend, hand the kitchen over to the kids.

Had to roster use of thermie yesterday as DH wanted it to make a marinade for goat (getting slow cooked today) and a cheesecake, with me trying to get a few minutes to make another batch of yogurt, roasted pumpkin and corn soup and some cottage rolls plus a puy lentil dish to go with the confit rabbit dinner (rabbit not cooked in thermie!).
Lots of these dishes are thinks I wouldn't have bothered to do pre-thermomix, but now it's just so easy (and fun). The cheesecake was so yummy....
