I have frozen leeks still, just wizzed in the thermo and froze in snap lock bags.

Thanks for the tips on freezing leeks...would this work for onions as well? I've got so many onions in my cupboard at the moment!

Yes blackwood, you can buy chopped onions in the freezer section of supermarkets.  I made myself a huge bagful a while back but haven't used any of them yet but I did borrow some from a neighbour once when I ran out of onions and they were fine.
