Hello everybody, I'm an Italian who doesn't know how to cook, and I've known for a long time the magic that the Bimby, as we call the machine, can do.
I now live in Laguna Beach, CA and I just bought the magic maker from Canada. I have to say that I haven't used it yet, I wish I had someone showing me a little how to use. Any video around?? I promise I'll dedicate myself more to it very soon.

Hi & welcome mssyssy. Not being able to cook will be a thing of the past once you become confident with the Bimby. There are many videos on Utube and some scattered around this forum. The best advice I got was to just try one thing everyday. Good luck.

mssyssy my DD couldn't cook either. but since we bought the TM she can cook absolutely anything! start off by making some basic things like the stock vegetable concentrate, some self raising flour, butter, jam, a sauce etc just to give yourself some practice and at the same time stocking up with some ingredients with which to make yourself some great things.

at the start cooking with the TM can be overwhelming because it is so exciting and simple to do, but sometimes you can misread the recipe so go slowly to begin with and i  am sure you will have lots of success.

Hi Mssyssy,  Welcome to the forum.  Get yourself a copy of the Italian Cookbook.  It's written in Italian with lots of wonderful recipes and great pictures which I'm sure you will love.

Welcome mssyssy.   I've had my TMX since last November but haven't used it much during the past couple of months (except for preparing risotto - several "flavors") mostly because I have been doing so much gardening I haven't had time for much else.
Now that the garden is beginning to produce a lot of veggies, I am ready to launch into some new to me recipes.

In some ways I envy you the weather you have had the past several weeks.  Our temps up here in the high desert are already hovering near 100 and all of my cool weather crops are bolting.  At least I will have plenty of seeds for the fall plantings.

Welcome mssyssy to the unchartered territory of TMX ad in particular this forum.  In a few weeks you will wonder whether life existed pre-thermomix.  While I enjoyed cooking prior to my purchase of the TMX, I have learnt so much since the arrival of my machine 2 weeks ago - thanks mainly to the members of this forum and my need to discover as much as possible about the wonders of this kitchen wonder.

The second forum is run by a lady in Napoli & she is so helpful.  She is an English teacher - so that is great for somebody like me who only parlo un poco.
