Hi there, I'm Mel from Sydney :D
« on: September 09, 2010, 02:22:12 am »
Hi Everyone

Just thought I'd quickly introduce myself

We've had a thermomix for years but have only really started getting into it in the last 6 months and discovering how great it really is

It's actually mum's but she is finding the transition hard but with some guidance is getting better! I think she is just playing dumb so I'll cook more  ;) (Ignorance is bliss)

I've finally signed up after having lurked on the forum for a while and read/used a couple of your delicious recipes

I'm going to attempt a Pavlova next so I'll get myself over to the Desserts section

Cheers,
Mel

Hi Mel, welcome to the forum at last.  You may just be right about Mum but under your guidance, she will learn and adjust. Good luck with the pavlova, not an easy one to do.

good on you mel for taking over the TM and giving it more of a workout. i am making some flour tortillas today and beef enchiladas and everything is prepared in the TM - so much more tastier, healthier and need I say satisfying. having a TM has really allowed me to expand my repertoire in the kitchen, and i hope that it does the same for you. its all good fun  :D move over Mum!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Yvette, I'm from Strathfield
Sounds like I have picked a real tough dessert to start with but will let you know how it goes :)
I did make the mixture for macaroons in the thermomix a few months back and that turned out well so hopefully luck will be on my side

Hi Everyone,
Made pavlova on the weekend and it was amazing.
Really easy to do in the thermomix and everyone loved it.
Might have to make another one next weekend although pressure is now on!
