Glad to see you're making good use of your AF.
I was going to make the sausage and chick pea casserole from this forum, but DS was a little fragile after getting a slight concussion at lunchtime today so I cooked his favourite meal - pasta carbonara.

The treat for me is the dessert DH picked up from our local bakery which is looking at me longingly from the bench (or maybe the other way round :P)  Our bakery makes the best vanilla slice with passionfruit icing

Poor DS. I do hope his favourite meal helped his recovery.

We had vegie soup with rye bread, Honey Chicken in the AF, with veggies and I had homemade yoghurt for dessert. The others had ice cream.

I have been enjoying planning the world cup menu, cant plan too far ahead as we dont know all the teams that are leaving. The USA game I am doing a thanksgiving turkey dinner. Tonight dh is cooking sausage & chips as a farewell to England. I have my meat order coming friday which will be good. We have german stroganoff meatballs on the menu & an interesting costa rican chicken dish. A paella & a french onion soup. It will be even more fun as the groups get smaller :). The ony issue there will be lots if left overs! :o :)

MJ's pantry tuna dish with a potato topping and varoma steamed vegies with a topping of cream and sprinkled with cheesy breadcrumbs.  All browned in the a/f.

Dessert, tiramisu from the new EDC.

That looks nice Judy.

Tonight we had steak cooked in the sous vide. I put it on just before I went to bed last night, so it cooked for about 20 hours. It was perfectly soft and moist and beautifully pink. I bought a scotch fillet that was around a kg and already marinated and vac-packed. Both DH and I thought the marinade took over and we couldn't really taste the steak. Next time I won't use steak that's been marinated.
Still enjoying experimenting with the sous vide.

Thanks Katie.

I think marinating your own meat would be much better, you don't really know what they've used.  Nice to know the beef was cooked to perfection.

We had Mich's SC Satay recipe from the freezer. It was really delicious second time round.

Thanks for the tikka paste suggestions Judy and CC. Looking forward to trying them.
Last night was roast chicken in honour of the great Gert quail challenge and tonight was pizza. I mixed some tikka paste with homemade nut butter and lemon juice and made a satay type pizza sauce. Something different.
