KFC chicken breast and KFC mushroom steaks.

How did you go with the KFC mixture Chookie, did you like it? I too came across the recipe, as I am a vegetarian, I dont eat KFC but would love to try it with some veggie (pregnancy cravings here  ) or like you with mushroom, was it good?

Thermilover, I didn't get around to making the new recipe but used some of my KFC recipe which is posted on the Forum. I used some of the spice mix and mixed it with egg milk and flour and dipped thick mushroom slices in this and then in Panko crumbs. Shallow fried in Rice Bran oil. Very nice. You could use other veggies such as Zuchinni or sweet potato or pumpkin.

I reduced the coconut cream to 200ml and didn't add the Vegies. I served it with vegetables. It was really nice.

Chicken soup.
Bought a takeaway roast chicken , had some for lunch and cooking the carcass with veggies. Will add leftover chicken , kale and noodles after I strain it. We are in transit. Open Day at Cherokee on Saturday.

Thanks Judy. My brother gave me a Myer voucher for my birthday and I found both books there this morning, so I bought them.

That's good cookie.  I like that they are mainly from scratch, a few recipes using 'a can of condensed soup' but we TMX owners are capable of making our own versions of that.  Same with a packet of French Onion Soup mix as we have our home made FOSM recipe.

I totally agree Judy. So many recipes everywhere have a can of this and a packet of this with all sorts of stuff. Even before thermomix I usually tried to make things from scratch.
I've only had a brief look through the books but I'm inspired.

Home made pizzas. Tonight we are trying a dessert one too. It seems an easy meal but by the time you make the bases, the Passata and cut everything up. I made custard to put on the base of the dessert pizza.
