Probably ham and salad with malted grain rolls.    Picked my first ever beetroot , so will steam this in TMX.   Lettuce from garden.

We finished the left overs last night. Tonight we are having pasta using ham, sun dried tomatoes, olives, spinach and anything else I find in the fridge that needs using up.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Made plain white bread so that the beautiful ham would shine through. Haven’t made a plain white bread loaf for years.
Tonight, grilled Fish with potato salad and coleslaw. Fruit salad

Marina, I peel the beetroot and cut into wedges and then steam the beetroot in the Varoma. 20 to 30 minutes, depending on size of wedges. Test with sharp knife.

Thanks for reminding me of this recipe. I am making it for dinner. Going to top it with seafood in garlic sauce.

A light pasta sounds nice, Katie and Marina. Might copy your idea. Perhaps a tossed salad on the side.

Roast pumpkin bacon and pea risotto. Went to make this and DM cupboard risotto rice was far to old to use so a trip into the shops , so busy there was none on the shelves. Used my powers of observation and there on the top shelf was a box full of risotto rice . The staff were stacking the shelves as fast as they could , have to love summer holidays . Should have made more as all gone in a flash .
