We had RTE Lemon ParmesanCabbage Salad with Chicken. I really enjoyed it but the others weren't too fond of it. https://www.recipetineats.com/lemon-parmesan-cabbage-salad-with-grilled-chicken/

I asked DH if he wanted Cottage Pie or Prawn Curry for dinner tonight. He said “ I don't mind :-)) So I took the executive decision, it's a Prawn Curry tonight. ;D

Hard choice, CC.
We had corned beef with mustard sauce from the Forum. Mashed pumpkin and steamed pots.

Sometimes we just want someone else to make a decision on food Denise, from the past I know what it’s like.

Going back to your SC marylands Chookie, did you have to thicken the sauce?

No, it just reduced itself. Lovely.

Chicken Marengo.  French dish, chicken baked in tomato, mushroom and garlic.  Will do it in SC and pop under grill when finished to brown chicken.

Yummmm.  I had a lovely recipe for this dish years ago and now it's gone missing.  One day I must pull out all my recipe books and cutouts and look for it.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Chicken Marengo sounds lovely, except for the mushrooms. We're having red salmon and sweet potato patties from the Down to Earth blog.

I’m at my DD’s place and made a lovely vegetarian pasta for tea. I’ll get the recipe organized as I made it up with what was in the fridge. Kids devoured it!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
