Now how do you keep your rosemary on the bread, mine aways falls off!!!LOL

Chop the rosemary and garlic together....sprinkle on dough, rub it over the surface lightly with your hand, then drizzle with some o/oil.
.........EAT CAKE!

Andie, is it easy to preserve lemons?

Very easy, all it takes is lemons and salt and time.

This is the "classic" method.

and this page  has a different method (I don't care for it)  but also has a recipe  below for  preserved lemon compound butter which is amazing on grilled fish.
I can't eat seafood but I like freshwater fish - trout usually on its own but I also like catfish and when it is finished with this compound butter at the table, it is heavenly.

I also sometimes add a whole (chopped or thinly sliced) preserved lemon to onion confit - caramelized onions to add a bit of piquancy.

I would love to make my own preserved lemons.  Last week the only lemons I could find were imported from America  :-\

Tonight I made shredded chicken satay with steamed rice, broccoli and cauliflower.
http://www.stephberg.com/?p=304
Instead of 1 tbsp of spices I used 2 teaspoons and only had 600g of chicken. Chilli was left out completely.
Miss 11 gave it an A-.  She said next time add potatoes, carrots and pumpkin to the chicken.
Miss 9 gave it a big fat F.  She kept eating it though and the rating went up to a B-. She said the seeds needed to be chopped up more.
Hubby thought it was very nice.

Thank you Andie!  :) I am definitely going to try this since we are lemon lovers in this household.

I put up a batch of Seville oranges - made the same way -   and I am anxious to see how it turn out - to see if it is similar to the lemons.

DD ( 8 ) help make pizza for tonight's dinner. She made the dough with my instructions and supervision and put the topping on 2 of the 4 pizzas. She enjoyed herself.

She has been asking for days to cook something, but I just couldn't be bothered with the extra mess. But tonight I thought I could sit down while she done the work (doesn't quiet work like that) but she enjoyed her self and was very proud of the finished product.

Stick with it Mandi, if she wants to cook just let her - blow the mess.  Perhaps the other kids could do the tidying up after her. I do find pizzas terribly messy when I make them though  :-))

No not yet CC. Should be very soon. Repair man waiting on parts to finish it.
Although I told the family that I'm not getting it back until they start helping me more, and they will all have to continue washing up and drying the dishes. :)
