Sausages and with  roast pumpkin pesto couscous. Yet again I ate on my own ! The supposed rain never came but boys had to shut down all silos and field bins , inlaid grain into a huge silo to store as we are full up to a truck can come on Monday.

Still using up left overs - I don't know where they all came from!  Fridge now only 1/2 full - we have a lot of eating to do before we head back to work later this week.

It must be the day for Greek food - we had a Greek pasta salad with yet more left overs on the side.

Last night I recreated my favourite dish from the cruise. Vegetarian Moussaka. Made 6 serves so froze 5. I roasted the eggplant, zucchini, capsicum and sweet potato and layered them with feta and tomato purée. Garlic, pepper and Greek dried oregano. No white sauce , just lumps of feta on top.

My daughter would love that Chookie. I bet that’s not the only idea you’ve come home with.

Paprika chicken with sour cream sauce , cookidoo recipe . With sweet potato mash . It was very nice . Seems I’m slow cooking at the moment. Start early and just keep turning down the oven temp .

The food on the Cruise was amazing. Several things stood out , both good and mad. Crepes were made ahead and added to the sauce at the table. Duck was always well cooked but not the lobster. It was rubbery. Lots of large prawns and cold soup in small coffee type cups as a starter. Surprisingly lovely.
Tonight I’m having tandoori lamb cutlets with salad and rice. Cherries.
