Frozzie I've had pan fried gnocchi in a restaurant. Its definately worth giving it a try I think you'd need to use a reasonable amount of olive oil. I'm quite sure the recipe would be the same boiled or pan fried.

i love it..prefer it to the regular gnocchi..has that bit of crunch and not so soft...mmmm going to have to give it a go and get around to making some..

That sounds like something I had at a restaurant up here - they were sweet potato gnocci, and I think they were pan-fried - soooo yummy!  Can't remember what was on them... need to go back and have them again!  ;)

Oh no Maddy hope you feel better soon - so did the kids complain it wasn't as good as mum's?

We had spinach and ricotta puff pastry rolls. Terrible for my heartburn but they are usually a regular for the girls lunch boxes so were missing them with the holidays. And such an easy peasy meal, lol. (I used bought puff pastry) Used the TMX for dessert though for a lovely tropical sorbet.

Aww, thank-you  :)
I haven't cooked for 4 nights, so the kids have had tinned spaghetti, bacon & eggs, sausages and bought pizza  :-X  I know I can't say too much, but seriously......how hard is it to attempt to make something normal?  ???
When I reposition the lung that I've coughed up, I'll boot him out of there  ;)

Get well soon Maddy and get Hubby out of the kitchen!!!  ;D :-*

We are having chicken breasts in tomato sauce with mushrooms and pasta (recipe from the forum) for dinner.  I will be having a little serve of pasta with lots of steamed veg as I'm shedding some extra kilos at the moment.  I have lost 3kg now - 5 more to go! Woohoo!  So much more energy for cooking now!!! ;D ;)

Maddy, hope you are feeling better, your poor kids must not know what's hit them with all the processed food!

Tonight we had 'moussaka' (sort of lasagne but with aubergine and potato instead of pasta).
