DH Made a lovely chicken dish before I got home from work. Helped out with a smoked corn salad (yum) but the aftermath on the pot stand was dramatic (photo tomorrow in the oops thread)😳. Tasted great so that's all that matters.

Lamb shanks done in the slow cooker with mashed potato and steamed vegs.

Home grown T-bone steaks,  potato chips and onions  on the BBQ, and maybe a warm pasta salad to go with  ???
I packed a whole beast in the freezer Wednesday, so 3 days is enough time passed to get over the ick factor  :P

I made cottage pie for dinner, though really it should be called veg pie with a bit of beef mince  ;D.

I've used lots of veg that was in the fridge which was added to only 500g beef mince. Was so flavoursome, really loved it.  I even added some of Judy's  dry onion soup mix to the mashed potatoes which I spread over the top.

Served in individual pots and after heating through in the oven until bubbling,  I finished off under the grill.  A complete meal in one.  :D

We love cottage pie in this house too Julie - why haven't I made one for such a long time then :-))

These are the type of meals I will be making and freezing for DH & his sister whilst I am on the retreat - one dish wonders.

Yummmm, Julie. Yum yum yum :D

I hope I will be having slow cooked lentil and veggie soup. I was a complete dope and forgot to put the lentils at the beginning, but I chucked them in about an hour an a half ago so I hope they will be cooked by dinnertime!
If not, looks like it will be another Winter Banana Smoothie. That would't be a bad thing though :D
