Soup and bread rolls from the freezer. We had lunch out and ate way too much.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

astarra l would be keen to hear how the roast turns out in the varoma

Absolutely delicious...moist and more-ish! And I made the gravy from the juices that dripped down..

DD made this from a whole chicken http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-2012314/Recipe-Cider-chicken-creme-fraiche.html

With new potatoes, leeks, carrots and peas.

Pudding was chookies apple caramel made with rhubarb from the freezer, with my custard sauce.
We had two portions between three for healthier eating! Does that count?

Left over casserole stripped off bones and added to lots  of chicken stock and cooked noodles for soup for tomorrow.

Took shin beef out of freezer to cook for tomorrow night. It is stew weather in mid summer!

Tonight I am attempting to convert a recipe  :-\ hope it turns out. It will be a chicken & chorizo gumbo. If it works I will add it to the forum, my first contribution!

Nothing, ate way too much at lunch.
Had a lovely entree of smoked salmon soup, it was delicious. I could have gone another bowl of that and skipped the main.

Roast lamb tonight. The mint in the garden is looking a little sad but there should be enough for mint sauce.

Was supposed to be making coq au vin today, but DH just felt like soup as he's a bit unwell.  So I whipped this up especially for him.

It's Spiced sweet potato, pumpkin and prawn soup.  :)
