This is the downside to this wonderful forum, all the cool extras one can buy (pizza makers, ice cream makers, pots & jars, books, spatulas, tubs and the list goes on); on top of all the ingredients one mightn't normally have but sound too useful not to get

I'm having a very lazy day cooking wise. Tea is going to be eggs on toast with baked beans (and cheese added to the beans)

I am resisting the pizza maker thread as I have no cupboard space.
Mind you, my oven is cranking up the heat something fierce at the moment so pizzas would probably cook really well in the oven.
I've got a chicken roasting at the moment and the dial on my oven is set at about 75C, but the thermometer inside is showing 200C. I have to keep turning the temp down.
I got 2 free range chickens for $10 today, thanks to my neighbour who rang me from the chicken shop and asked me if I wanted some. Lucky me
Last night I cooked the rest of the family chicken snags with mash and vegies, whilst I had a treat. When we were at Cowel on Monday DH bought me a dozen oysters for $8. Problem was, they were not shucked and I don't have an oyster knife. I really had to work hard for my dinner. I put them in the microwave on defrost for a minute one or two at a time. I then levered them with the screwdriver. It was slow going, and I didn't get to eat until 8.30, but it was well worth it. They were really juicy, and I ate them with a squeeze of lemon and a slice of bread and butter. Yum

I made Judy's cream f tomato soup but with too much chicken stock concentrate. 'twas a little too salty :/
Mama Fergie what is actually in the book? I was struggling to find an actual contents list, which is scary for a recipe book. I looked at the sample on the iPad (from iBookstore) but the TOC was just the chapter titles .

It's an interesting book for $10.
A bit of a life story plus lots of recipes including dips, a few salads, different doughs, pizza sauces, lots of unusual topping combinations, including how to cook the meats and dessert pizzas that I would never have thought of.
A good little book for the money.
