We had Linguine with Mushrooms and Thyme from Nigellissma (or you can find the recipe here...http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/linguine-with-lemon-garlic-and-thyme-mushrooms-24)...first time I haven't used the TMX at all since I can't remember when.
It was a yummy dinner and will now be a regular :)

Judy, your pastries sound yummy- I hope all is well with DH.
Kimmy, that tart looks great.
My Thermie is having a little rest lately as I have been busy. Sigh!
I need to do some baking soon as the biscuit container is almost empty, but it will be too hot tomorrow.  >:(
Easy dinner tonight - DH &I had blackened salmon with salad tonight, and the kids had chicken snags. Salmon was really yummy :D

A little lol... I was just pleased to cook something even if it was only coated chicken.. That was only 4 individual breast pieces though but i slice them in small pieces.. I find it goes further that way...

I often coat chicken with different spice mixes however had never used a wet mix like this recipe ie the egg flour and milk mixed together to make a paste.. I find it sticks better to the coating than the standard flour egg then crumb..

Kim, I didn't do that!

CP says to
Dip meat pieces in a) plain flour   b) then wet mix    c) then dry ingredient mix.

The wet mix being the egg and milk.

Did you really mix the flour with the egg and milk?

Oops i read it as wet mix ..eggs plus milk and flour .. Yes i mixed them together lol.. Found it a bit strange but thought what the hell give it a try.. Well it worked and i found it stuck quite well actually...better than just flour egg or egg/milk and crumb.. A mistake but it works well

A little like a crumbed batter .. Haha but ill be doing thi from now on.. Easy!!
