What's for Dinner Tonight?

Tonight we are having JD's broccoli & cheese soup, it is so delicious. We've been having it every week lately. My OH & I both love it.

My OH will be making it as I am sick in bed (& have been since Sunday, so over it).

This soup would be a good one if you're on Hally's $100 challenge - cheap but so tasty 😊

Katie, make sure you stay in bed this time or you will never get rid of it.  Don't you hate having days off work due to illness, it would be much more fun if you were feeling well and could go out and enjoy yourself   Get well soon dear lady.

Katie is right with cheap soups, the one vegie type soups are so cheap to make when that vegie is in season at it's lowest price.
Some vegie shops have bags of fruit and veg to get rid of for a very low price - these vegie bags are ideal for soup making.

Yes I'm staying in bed today. Richard has ordered me to & I'm under instructions not to do anything other than rest. I think I should have done that yesterday instead of getting up & trying to go to work. In so lucky to have an OH who looks after me so well.

I hate being sick, it's such a waste of time.

dede if and when u make it the pasta needs to fill the dish right up to the top so when u flip it will not move if u know what i mean

Honey soy chicken drumsticks tonight. Honey soy sauce made in TM then poured over drumsticks and baked in the oven.
And steamed veggies.

Almost too   to post this, but after a very hectic day (school parent help, swimming lessons, doc appnt etc) I have not long got home to find DH had very nicely put the lamb roast I got out of the freezer to thaw for tonight's dinner BACK INTO THE FREEZER... "I thought it was out by accident."  So I asked DD5 she could chose anything for tea that wouldn't take long to thaw and cook.... therefore tonights dinner is: Sausages with onion and sauce in bread and hot milo with a blob of ice-cream in it.
Will have to do better tomorrow night - is our wedding anniversary!!!

Beef & Guinness stew did not disappoint - loved it! Unfortunately the FLB's (Fussy Little Beggars) did not, but they don't like anything new so I haven't given up!

Change of plans. Everyone in the house is sick except me, so no point cooking that lovely chunk of pink snapper
I just steamed my vegies and tossed them with a tin of salmon. Easy and yummy and not too much washing up
