Is it allowed, and if so, how do i save the recipes to my computer?

Hi Guys, it is newbie Jenny here, and i must apologise if this question has been discussed before. My TMX arrives today, i have been studying the recipes and wondered if I am allowed to save them to my computer for my own reference, and if so, how do i do this. How do you all keep a copy of the recipes to take to the kitchen?

The old fashioned way Jenny - print out, put in a plastic sleeve when it is ready to be taken to the kitchen then if I am happy with the recipe I place it in a recipe binder I have made.

Jenny there are a few discussions on this with different programs available depending on whether you have a pc or Mac. Living cookbook is the pc one. I use an application called ever note that syncs with my iPad and iPhone.

I am sure JD or someone will be able to link the thread. I can't at the moment as the kids are wanting my attention.

I just use MS One Note which comes with Windows 7 Cut and paste. Easy as.

ATM same as JD - my file is bulging and about to explode. I think it is a good idea to look ahead and prevent the same thing from happening if you understand computers enough.

I'm a copy and print out too. Like CP63 my file is bursting. After I've made things I put them into a separate file with a photo glued to it.

I also print them. I'm a massive techy but I just love hard copy recipes (and recipe books). I hate having my computer near the cooking. And I love flicking through recipes books/files.

Thanks Girls, I'm not very computer savvy, but i opened a word document and copy and pasted the recipe to it. Then saved it to a file to store my recipes, I then printed it ( thanks JD)  . My TMX was delivered this arv, and i made the Beef Stroganoff from the edc book plus added some tweaking from the forum, it was perfect. There aren't going to be enough hours in the day now is there? I use the free version of Evernote, I just highlight the recipes and photos and right click and select send to evernote....once it is in evernote I then drag it into the correct recipe notebook...ie: chicken etc, this also allows me to tag the recipe  to make seaching easy and also edit my recipe tweaks.

Well done Jenny! Once you do it a few times you will be a pro. You can always change your format later on if you want to (or feel a little swamped by recipes as I often do).

I use One Note too, it's great as I can have different tabs for different foods/meals. The first time I make a recipe I just use my laptop, then once it's been tweaked and family approved it gets printed off and put in the folder. I do my grocery and fruit/veg shopping online, so I love having my recipes on the computer so I can copy/paste the ingredients off the weeks recipes onto my shopping list!
