I don't really like the forum part of the other site, much prefer this one. You can't add links to other sites; the signature line is in the same font and same size as your post, so it's not distinguishable from your post; I can't use other smilies other than the ones on offer at the site (which are awful!). BUT, it's a start! It's got lots of content and some great recipes and a lot of local members.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Caroline you can type you just have to select 'deselect rich text' on the bottom right under the text box or there is another one you can select - can't remember the name of it now. But it does take a bit of time to do which is annoying!

Thanks for the tip Meagan.  I'll give it a try later.  By the way, so far the easiest way I've found to put recipes quickly on the iPad is to use spring pad.  If you have a look at it and find you're interested, pm me and I'll talk you through how you can add the clipper to your iPad browser.  There's a work around.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Sorry but I don't like it at all. I am older, eyesight not as good as it used to be, and the LT Grey font is very "Fuzzy" and very difficult for me to read. Navigation is not as easy as here. Probably written by a programmer.

I'm slightly chuffed!  :D
I have entered some recipes on the site, and my Parmesan bread is recipe of the day  http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/  I just hope others like it as much as we do.
That could be embarrassing otherwise.  LOL.

I keep forgetting to go and look. I will have to go and review that for you Maddy as we love it. I really don't know if I should put up some recipes there or not.

Oops, I didn't realize I couldn't put recipes from my blog on the recipe community - how annoying!  I put all my recipes on my blog!!  Guess I'll have to take them off the community and keep them on my blog :(

Jo there is yet to be clarification of the blog issue. I think it would be a real shame as I think you have a really great chance of winning and your recipes are awesome so the more people that know about your blog/ recipes the better I think  ;D

Could someone please explain why a recipe that you have developed,  cannot be posted on the recipe community ?  When I develop a recipe, I post it first on my blog and then shift it over to the Forum.  I post it on the Forum so more people can have a try.  The original recipe is mine,  so that is why I post it on my Blog.  I don't see why the recipe community should have exclusive rights to my recipes.  It is more important to me to share than to win prizes.  It seems a real shame that someone as creative and innovative as Jo is unable to share ,through the recipe community  because she has posted on her blog.

:o I've put recipes from my blog there! How ridiculous! Chookie, if you find out the reason, please let me know too!

Well, that means I WON'T be putting any more recipes on there. I'll just link to my blog.

I don't have a blog but still would rather share my recipes on here. Guess that is just how I feel. Once we put them on recipecommunity do they become the their recipe?

Eeek, I hope they don't become theirs!!  We'll have to check into all this - there's quite a few of us 'bloggers' that would rather share on our blogs and here than only on there!  Thanks Meagan for looking into it!!!  :)

Excerpt  6.1   All Submissions become the property of Thermomix in Australia.  :o

My understanding is that this is for the competition. If it is just on the community site then it is still yours. But I am not completely sure.

Well I'm afraid that's the clincher for me! Will not be sharing my hard work for others to 'prosper', I'm more then happy to share here, as everyone does :D
