We also love this cake and call it pineapple fruit cake but it is still scrumptious whatever its called. Thanks for bringing it to my attention again and the idea for putting it in patty cases; recipe decided now for DH train club morning tea this week.

Big Oooops :-))  I'm not surprised that my cake was a little dense.  Guess who forgot to put the eggs in.  Found them on the bench later in the evening. :-[ :-[

I think we all have been there Margaret :D I've forgotten to add the oil in a cake recently but realized my mistake before I put it in the oven ;)

How long did you cook the individual ones for after you thawed them?

A little secret.  While Ral was home and very ill and I was trying to tempt him to eat,  I made myself one of these fruit cakes.  One day I had it for breakfast , lunch and   dinner.   Don't spread the word.  :D

Looks like I had better give one a try. :D

Are they just with bacon or is there anything else in with it? Are they toasted or not?
