I can't remember CC - I think it was at a small deli/cafe in the Peak District but I'm pretty sure Waitrose sell it and from googling it, it looks as if Sainsburys and Tescos sell it as well.

Good luck in hunting for it  ;)

My local Waitrose didn't sell Rye Flour but found Dove's Rye Flour in the local Sainsbury's. :)

I forgot to mention that I made a second loaf, this time using caraway seeds.   I think I prefer the caraway to the cumin, but mainly because it reminds me of rye bread I had when I was growing up.

My loaf is keeping very well - OH is away and I'm only having a couple of slices a day.       I think it's 6 days so far  :)

I made this for friends who were staying over the weekend.  She is the source of my sour dough starter and is quite a bread afficiando.  She was really impressed by it.

I think it is my favourite bread recipe, especially as it lasts so well (except when we have visitors  :D ).  I do prefer it with caraway seeds to cumin though

Soon we are gonna go on holiday with friends.
For the first time in our lives we hired a caravan
We are quite excited actually. I am trying to figure out the things we would need during our trip
I guess this bread would be a good choice to take with us for when we have cravings ;)

Thanks for bumping this, I missed it the first time! Sounds delish.

Have a great holiday farfallina.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
