I have the Cuisineart machine, too and use the TM to make the mix and the machine to freeze it.
I bought one with 2 separate bowls so that I can make 2 flavours at the same time!

I too have the Cuisineart machine with the 2 bowls. I also make the mixture in the TM and then freeze it in the Cuisineart. I often use alcohol in my mixtures as this makes a nice scoopable texture. for example mulled wine sorbet is quite popular with my family!
I have a TM21 but if the TM31 does not churn and freeze at the same time then an ice cream maker is needed because it churns in the air to prevent crystals forming.
Take heed Thermomix, we need a freeze function added to the TM41 so we can all throw away our ice cream machines.

I too have a Cusinart ice cream maker and love it. I make the custard in the TMX and then cool in the fridge/freezer and pour into ice cream maker. As much as I love the TMX sorbet for its convenience - I do prefer it in the ice cream maker as it is not as icy. For a gorgeous, traditional lime sorbet I make the sugar syrup in the TMX, cool, then add to the ice cream maker with the lime juice. Sensational ......

Hmm, a freeze function - interesting thought. 8)
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

MonPo76, Could you please post your recipe for the lime sorbet, like how much sugar syrup and lime juice you use for your recipe. Thanks Sandy
