Just checked and it says 'mostly sunny'. So it looks like Toamto Lake I guess. See you tomorrow.

Lovely to see you all. Especially you CP63 who managed it after all. VHJ hope your work went well. Sometimes things just have to be done.
Tomato Lake is a lovely spot to catch up.

Tomato Lake is fantastic, its got it all. So easy to find as well, which is a big thing for me cos usually I get lost.
That recipe that you were saying is absolutely divine must be Chunky Beef Chilli from the 2009 calendar cookie?
Got home and emailed my consultant to put me on the list for the Asian book, so thats all sorted.

DH requested a tank loaf so I promptly got to it, but then got stuck on the emails after the first rise. As we were saying today, unfortunately I had pushed it right up next to the window to catch the last bit of sun to help heat up the tin and then I forgot about it. It was oozing out everywhere, and was stuck all over the window and in every crack and crevice possible. When I picked up the tin to whack what was left of it in the oven it felt as light as air after losing about 1/3 of the mix! Anyway it filled out the tin and I have just brought it out of the oven now -- DH will think its perfect ;)

Well there you go CP, proves this recipe & tin is very forgiving and I'm glad it worked out for you. What a mess to clean up though  :'( :'(

CP, that's what I usually do! My bread looks really weird sometimes when I forget that it's rising somewhere warm.

Glad you all had a great catch up. Any photos?
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

After 2 cups of tea I really did need to go, but there was no way! I wonder how many people get caught by the "loitering alarm"  ;D ;D ;D that would be sooooo funny
