Your cars sound fantastic Robyn. As you can see ours a little older and I guess a little less reliable. But great fun all the same. When I met DH he had a FX holden and it was always breaking down and we had to use my car to tow it home. Now 44 years later not a lot has changed. He's still got a couple of old cars that sometimes need towing home. :-\ :-\

You guys have some funny stories!!  :D After I saw my first demo and came home raving about it, my hubby just said, "If it's going to save you time, get it!"  ;D  We had three little kids and I was pregnant with the fourth - actually, she arrived that night! So I think he was hoping that if I had a tmx I'd have more time for him!!!  :)

I had a guy come to a demo with his wife, and she'd been to about 4 of my demos over the course of a year - after he'd sat through about 10 mins of the demo, he turned to her and said, "HOW many demos have you been to??? WHY haven't you bought one of these yet????? Order it, NOW!!!!"   :D :D :D It was so funny! So I love husbands coming to demos!!

Hi Knittercook, A trick I used after the demo was saying things like 'It's too expensive, I am going to cancel the order' because i was feeling  terribly guilty, while occasionally also saying 'It's a good thing I don't love expensive diamonds like most other women'.   A combination of disagreeing with me out of habit, and possibly realizing that some women do buy ridiculously expensive stuff that is complete useless, resulted in him saying 'Just get it'.   Me - 1, Hubby - 0.   ;)
By the way this does not work too well if you do love diamonds !!!!
Hope it all works out for you.

OK - have to wait for DW to try that one !!  ;D

welcome knittercook and hope you get one soon...i agree drag hubby along to a demo...i have a gf who wants one but hubby is against it due to cost ..so she is saving her pennies hoping he will change his mind.. i luckily didnt have to do anything as my neighbuor asked me to a demo and i had no idea what a thermomix even was but when i checked it out online i freaked at the price saying urrmm not spending that much on a mixer lol well before i went hubby said do not buy it im warning you lol..told him i wasnt intending to..anyway i went and absolutely had to have one and little did i know that hubby was planning on buying it for my birthday a few months later but i couldnt wait that long and told him i really wanted one so we had a personal demo..over here they say its a gift and they ask you to choose one of a seleciton of recipes that we like and the consultant comes to your home to make it for you...anyway be bought it then a week later...and ive been so pleased with it ...its abilities are endless so fingers crossed that DH gets to a demo and loves it lol  :)
