alternative to thermoserver

i had a look around for insulated bowls a la thermoservers, but i've decided that the thermomserver still looks the best, so i have no regrets about holding demos to collect them - they're half price when you hold a demo and at $30, i think they're pretty good value. have to say those 1 litre thermoservers are as rare as hens' teeth though - i've only managed to get one.

 l got my thermie in july when they had the 1 litre one as a bonus and have never used it and only used the bigger one 1 time only
l was thinking that l should get rid of the smaller one , bur after reading this post maybe l should kept it and read up about using it
l have not used my varoma  either  but have not had a varoma party yet

You should keep it, it would be very useful if you want to keep rice warm to go with a curry.

I wish that the Vorwerk Germany sold them asi would certainly have bought one, instead I keep putting off researching one to buy.

Good info Nola. You can also get them at one of the Indian shops in High Road.

I use these , you need to scroll down a bit to the see the saucepans/container, not the best tableware, but they keep the food hot and if I want it hot for longer I pop the saucepans in the Thermos. We use these when we are away sailing, and I have now found another use for them.

Does anyone have these?  They look a bit nicer than the indian ones, though I don't know about it being 3 price worth of niceness!

Whilst I'm still waiting for my thermomix to arrive I'm already addicted to this forum - there's just soooo much to learn. So just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all of their sage advice and tips. I have been thinking about the thermoservers for a while now (how useful is it given the high price - is Thermomix HO price gauging perhaps?) and found this wonderful thread tonight. Thanks from a newbie
