We ended up with a camper trailer after all that. I can't post a photo as we don't take delivery until mid to late January we think. The factory closed on the 19th and purchased on the 24th so they couldn't even ring to find out.

This must be a "first" - this thread has been quiet for two days!

I'm off to, hopefully, buy a vacuum cleaner and toasted sandwich maker today ... if I feel strong enough to battle the sale crowds.

Camper trailers always appealed to me Michele.  I wanted one many, many years ago when they were only $3000 but first husband wouldn't let me buy one.  Geoff and I looked at them early into his MS but the salesman took one look at Geoff in the wheelchair and told me I had enough on my hands without taking on a campervan.  Fair enough I thought, he was probably right 

Have you started planning your first holiday for when you take delivery?

I'd love to go to the sales too Marina but don't think I could cope with the crowds these days.  Online shopping with have to do for me until things quieten down out there.

Yes we have planned and booked a long weekend on 21st February just to Forster to see how we go. We are staying at The Big Four Caravan Park with an ensuite site.

I am not fond of the sales, either, Judy, but it was a case of gritting my teeth and going.  I went before 10.00 am and there were hardly any people there, it was very civilized  ... except that the shop's computer systems were down ... poor souls!  However, that didn't bother me too much, I had done my homework and knew almost exactly what I wanted.  I say that because I knew I wanted a Miele but didn't know which model the shop would have. 

Anyway I got a S8790 model and it is really quiet in operation!  I borrowed our work vac. two weeks ago and had to use ear defenders when I was using it, this new one is so quiet I wasn't even sure if it was on!  It was at Hardly Normal for $300 off, so I was happy with that.

I decided that one purchase in a day was enough for me, so I got the groceries and headed home to play with the cleaner.

Went shopping yesterday, as I was walking out the door DH said to remember to look at microwaves....I looked.....and brought. 
I got a Whirlpool crisp n grill microwave...
was marked down to $399, and I asked to salesman if he could mark it down any more....I got it for $300. 
I really dont know much about it, but the reviews were very positive. DH will put it into own place this morning, and miss5 has already ordered pizza for tea.

I used up the last of the Katie's voucher I received in Hobart yesterday. I put some $ to it and bought a couple of mid length pairs of jeans. One dark blue and one black. On me they are almost full length which is great as I don't have to take them up.
