Thanks Chookie, Cornish and Judy.  :D

It would be very necessary with your climate Astarra.

Definitely would be necessary down in Tassie. Mine just hangs on the wall here and I use it to store all my cleaning rags.

I have one on the wall here too Judy. It was Mum s. DH decided it would be handy for us! Mum has been gone over 11 years but I still haven't used it. Maybe one day!

I gave my drier to my DD when GD was born 16 years ago. Haven't owned one since then.

I am determined not to buy a drier.  After living in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland for many years, living in Australia with all this sun (most of the time!) I promised myself I would not get a drier - OK, sometimes it is difficult when we are running low on clothes and there are only soggy damp ones on the washing line I do get annoyed.  But that doesn't happen often enough to make me change my mind.  It helps that there is only the two of us, I am sure if we had kids I would have a completely opposite mind set!

I agree with you Marina. I think that is why mine hasn't been used.
