Good on you Chookie. You can never have enough cook books. What ones did you buy?

Ooh, what a lovely collection. I believe I have a few coming at Christmas. I think the Tivoli Road Bakery may be in it, I was telling DD all about it.

I got The Tivoli Road Baker book when I went to their presentation at Books for Cooks last month.  Lovely book, good choice, Chookie.

Marina, I knew that you had bought it so thought it was worth buying.
The Japanese one has several sushi recipes so can’t wait to try some.
Lots of smoking ones in the BBQ book.
The Moosewood one is for my vegetarian GD.

Michele, the Moosewood one is a classic. I bought the first one probably more than 20 years ago. I think this one is a collection from several books. The recipes are simple and earthy.
Have been reading through the Tivoli Road Baker one. There are just so many interesting things to cook.
Have already picked up a couple of clues for bread making. Will try them out and if good will pass on.

I bought a large 1/2 leg of pork on special at Safeway. 5 K. They have a butcher in shop so I asked him to cut it in half. I now have 2 nice sized roasts.

I saw these jars during the week and thought they would be nice filled with biscuits and given as gifts.  I bought 6 of them.

Lovely jars Margaret, it’s generally hard to find jars at this time of the year with everyone making Christmas hampers.
