Went to a food industry supplier shop that is reducing stock to specialise in just cakes & cake decorating. Everything else was discounted. I spent ages wandering around picking up bits and pieces. I got a lot of stuff, but the most interesting things are a 28cm chef’s frypan, a springform with a glass base, a specialty bread tin and a lid for my (decades old) bread loaf pan, all excellent quality. Saved heaps and very, very happy. In fact contemplating going back next week in case I missed anything.  ;D ;D ;D

ooh where was that at???
It was here Zan. Bit of a hike but worth it :)

I love the cake pop stand Maddy. It sort of reminds me of the stands they display Chupa Chups in.
I know what you mean re 'love' jobs. My DH made me a long rolling pin (french or italian type one) and said I could sell it to someone at the sourdough class and he would make me a jarrah one. Still waiting....................and waiting................

Maddy, your pop cake stand looks great, can't wait to see it full of your goodies.

I noticed that most of you shop on line. I am in need of a few things, is it cheaper on line. I need a loaf tin, muffin tray, sharp knife and some fun things.

Should I just go to a kitchen shop or buy on line

Thanks

Hally if you can combine both online & store shopping i.e. check out what you want online for prices etc then if you are handy to a home type shop, compare the prices.  Then it is up to you which way to go but you have to factor the postage in with the price. I can't always spare the time to browse in these types of shops so online is certainly easier but not necessarily cheaper I have found.

Kathryn if you can't get one I have one that you can have. I really don't use it very often at all. I bought it a couple of years ago. The only thing is you will have to wait until the end of September. :'( :'(

Generally, most my purchases are online.  Most the time I find the items cheaper, with postage included.
Also a big factor is you have the choices available.  A lot of stores here don't sell what I'm looking for.....so good news for me, but not the credit card  :P
I check catalogues online, and price check online stores first, before I purchase.
When I'm out and about, I always have a note book in my bag to jot down prices, and book titles, then I google before buying.
I like to get the best deal, so I always haggle prices in the stores too  :P  I love the challenge  :)
