Oh you poor thing. 4x4 bits are not cheap. Tell him he's on bread and vegemite for the next 6 months.
I remember my DH telling me 'she'll be right' as he ploughed over  big pile of sand. Of course it wasn't right as he hit our letter box. (The sand was in our driveway ready to fill in the hole our pool left)

Thanks Cookie - needed a smile!  It will be expensive. Think of a double digit number and add 3 zero's to it!   :o Sigh...

But that is our 3... huge vet bills for the paddock puff horse who is retired, the dishwasher and now the 4wd.

On the upside I have a rare and endangered species here at my home right now. I am not too sure on the Latin name for him, but more commonly known as a "painter". You have no idea how good it is seeing him out there. Seeing as we run our own painting business you'd think our place would be all up to date with the painting. Not so! Bit like a mechanics wife has the crappy car!

I have told my rare and endangered painter I pay his wages and he is not to leave the house until everything is done. (might just go padlock the front gate so he can't leave... :) ) Not too sure what his wife will say when he doesn't go home tonight!

Yup you have certainly had your three alright. We have had times like that too. Thank goodness you,got the dishwasher and the rare as hens teeth painter in the house. Lock the door his wife will understand. Probably happens all the time.

I understand, its normal. the tradies wife, who has to call someone  else to come and fix things. :-))

I write a list, and my DH fixes things that weekend. :)

I got 5 out of 6 cars washed on the weekend too.

Holy Toledo Obbie...what on earth do you pay your DH to fix things???

(oh, hang on...don't answer that question!   ;D )

When I write a list it sits on the bench getting dusty, so I end up doing it. If I can. I have been known to ring my hubby and say "darling I am in the paint shed, is this brush ok to use and do you need this paint for anything? I thought I might paint the spare room". The first time I did that I was 10 months pregnant (well I looked and felt it) and he was home in a flash! I did it recently as I needed the hay shed painted and he said "yeah go for it". So the kids and I painted it and he never said a word. I must have had "that" look on my face!

And I flatly refuse to wash that "unmentionable word" 4wd that is out the back.

We have 4 utes, my car, and 2 old holdens, so 7 cars.
6 are on the road registered, so to wash 5 on the weekend was great.

We write it in his diary and it gets done..... I cook all weekend.....

Have ordered River Cottage Veg cookbook, the one based on his veg show, from the Book Depository.  Saw they had a tmx in the River Cottage kitchen the other day.  Can't wait for the book to arrive :)

I have that book Kezza.  There are some great recipes in there.  We've been trying to incorporate some more meat free meals into our diet.  I'm sure you will enjoy the book  :)
