I do that too, Gretchen! I used to buy large amounts of ground almonds and I'd always pop the bag in the freezer for a few days to kill the moth eggs.

We've bought a house in Albany (Yay!!) and the people selling are going around Australia. They have a fridge like yours and I was going to ask to buy it from them. I only have room for a small fridge in my kitchen here.

I have another fridge on the patio and two freezers over in the shed!

Recently bought a lot of Tupperware. I bought a pack of the pantry containers for the Albany house. Other than that, nothing because I have to start saving and not spending. We have a house to pay for...
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

You bought a house, that will take some topping MJ - I loved Albany when our ship called in there.  How far is that from where you currently live?

Judy, it's only just over two hours, so is often our major shopping town.

My middle son lives there with his partner and two of my very good friends have second homes there.

We're planning on semi retiring in a few years, still keeping the farm. It's close enough for DH to travel back during busy times.

That is a big change for you. How soon will you be moving?  I am assuming you will now be going no where near this thread.  ;D

I keep unsubscribing but find my way back here more often than I should.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments on Oscar. He's doing very well and seems to be enjoying his new home. Our older dog ,Milo, seems to be a little put out and trying to assert him self but I think he will be fine in the long run. I've updated with a few new photos. Sorry they aren't very good quality because they were just taken with the iPad.

Now that is just too cute :)

When we got our new kitten our older cat who is almost 15 hated him. He wouldn't come inside, he growled at him all the time and would swipe him with his paw. Buy now he only dislikes him and growls sometimes, but he will come inside and they will both sit near the fire fairly close to each other. :)
Don't think they will ever be best mates though. The kitten tries to play with the older cat, but the older cat won't tolerate it :D
