My weekend shopping was similar to DD's.

Lots of lovely chocolate from Gabriel's chocolate factory, macadamia liqueur , white port, some shower gel and body lotion from Natural Olive oil soap place.(mandarin and vanilla ) . We stopped for a wee while at the Harvey Cheese factory and I bought quite a lot of their cheese. I also had a coffee there.(had to keep the driver wide awake)

I ordered 72 red clown noses.  What for, I hear you ask.  I've decided to have a clown/circus themed party for my son's 1st birthday and thought it would be fun for all the guests to wear red noses.

Have started to stock up on other things also, red/white striped straws, patty pan cases in various bright colours, bright serviettes etc

Party not until November, but I had to decide what we are going to do so my SIL can do the invitations.  She's very artistic and hand draws the invites, so had to get the details and theme so she has time to do them.

So far I've thought about the following circus food ideas:
Peanuts in the shell - for feeding the elephants
Buttered popcorn in bags
Mini hot dogs
hot chips in buckets
frozen bananas dipped in choc on a stick - you always have stick food at the circus
Fairyfloss
clown cake pops
lollypops

Plus other typical party food, but I'm trying to think of things you would get at a circus.  Any ideas most welcome.  Have started to develop a list of all ideas etc

Sounds like a really good party. I envy your 1y old son with 72 guests.
I don't think I know 72 people.

CC that is awesome, may have to see if they have something like that is Aust.  I need something heavier on my son's windows and don't really want to change the curtains.

I got a new mug today:  Disney's  Tinkerbelle - Mornings aren't MAGICAL!
Cute. Sadly the bottom is too large to fit on my mug warmer.

It is listed as holding 16 ounces but with 16 ounces of liquid measured into it, there is still almost 3/4 of an inch clearance, NICE!

And it is PURPLE!!!
