I've just had a lovely time reading through the Christmas tree thread. I bought the kids a pressssie today and it's in the cupboard hidden until Christmas. I can't believe I've started thinking about it already

I read through the whole thread this afternoon as well ES, the shops are beginning to look like Christmas too 

My tree never looks as pretty as those in the thread though, I always have a picture in my head of how my tree will look but once the kids decorate it, it's usually lob sided and very strange looking but I still LOVE it

Our tree is never symmetrical or a special colour. I still use all the decorations DD made for me when she was at school and little gifts I have received for the tree over the years. It doesn't look much to others but to me it does.

Cookie I have a smaller tree that is about 4 foot that I put up with the children's efforts from school. I even have a few of my SKIDS decorations that they have made too, not as many, still it's the talking point for them each Christmas as they reminisce.

My oldest boy recently got his first loose tooth, and in anticipation of the tooth fairies arrival, bought this Tooth Fairy Box from a lovely man at the Salamanca Markets in Hobart.   The box is shaped like a molar tooth, and has a little drawer to put the tooth in for the fairies to come and get

Oh that is the most beautiful tooth holder thingy I've ever seen! I especially like that it is gender neutral!

We use an eggcup, tried under the pillow once with DD's first tooth do you think I could get it out from under there without disturbing her, nope so next time it was an eggcup and has been for the other kids too

That is a gorgeous tooth holder Karen, so different to anything I've seen before. 

As kids there was no such thing as the tooth fairy in our house but it is such a special event for children of today and I've bought both of my GKs their tooth holder.
