school holidays next week, i can go shopping......

I needed a bit of therapy today so had my first day off from visiting Geoff and went shopping.  Headed off mid morning and arrived back home at 6pm with a fully laden car - OMG I went berserk and bought everything I saw that I wanted   I went to Bunnings, Spotlight and to many of the shops in the West Lakes Shopping Centre - talk about shopping till you drop, that's exactly what I did and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Hopefully I've got it out of my system as I can't afford to spend what I did today too often.

I agree with the Medicare rebate Kimmy but I don't know if the country can afford it - just our forum members alone would soon send them broke

At Bunnings I bought my BIL a voucher for his birthday, a back door mat, bulk kitchen bin liners, a garden tool kit for DD's new holiday house, bulk pack of light bulbs, a mop, 2 spray bottles for my cleaning products, weedkiller, touch lights for a few rooms in case of a black-out.

Onto Spotlight - a sheet set which I found were the wrong size when I got home, KB so I'll see if DD would like them, a bathmat for the ensuite, melamine bowls for GS when he's here, a 4 tiered wire rack for the ensuite (hope it fits when I unpackage it), pillow case protectors, 3 cards.

Harris Scarfe, 2 foam memory pillows, a sheet set (correct size this time), a scarf, 2 jumpers & a cardigan.

Katies, a shirt, a jumper and black pants

KMart, pj's, 6 prs knickers. 2 skivvies.

Millers, black pants

House, boxed sets for gifts down the track, odds and ends for stocking fillers.

Bookstore closing down - everything 50% off but not much left.  Black Beauty for GD, 4 biros, 4 notebooks, a novel for me who doesn't have time to read  (Sons & Lovers by D.H. Lawrence), Lyndey Milan recipe book (the only recipe book left), and a pile of free magazines they were throwing out (mainly for car and motor bike enthusiasts and I have people in mind for them), I was lucky enough to find the perfect little gift for a forum member who shall remain nameless at this point so that when it arrives she will be surprised and a very upmarket, hard covered little book of word searches for my SIL.

Chemist - a dinosaur book and activity pack for GS.

I think that's it - I've managed to displace a couple of the dockets, I am always losing bits of paper
